Building Control Officer 028 214 3300 In terms of the National Building Regulations and Standards Act, 103 (Act 103 of 1997), the Building Control Section serves to regulate the erection of all buildings to ensure their compliance with the aforementioned act and related SANS10400 standards.

Building plan submission
Building plans can be submitted online via the Building Control Portal. To access the portal, click on the link below:

Requesting Copies of Building Plans
You can request copies of plans at our offices using the Request for Copies of Plans Form.
Temporary Buildings
You will be required to submit an application through the Building Plan Portal if you are erecting short-term structures. Temporary structures include builders’ sheds, toilets, as well as, any other building that is erected for temporary use during a building project.
Demolition of any Building
No demolition of any building may commence on the site unless the necessary approval has been obtained from the Building Control Section.
Occupancy certificate
No building my be occupied unless an occupancy certificate has been issued by the Building Control Section.
